Mike Wilds is a Professor of Criminal Justice, Legal Studies and
Homeland Security for Northeastern
State University. He is also the director of the NSU Crime
and Justice Institute. He also maintains a private law office in
the
Tulsa area and has been an Adjunct Professor of Legal Research and
Writing
(specializing in computer technology) for the University of Tulsa School of Law
and an adjunct professor for Richland College in Dallas. He
received his B.A. from the University
of
Oklahoma, his Masters in Criminal Justice Administration from Oklahoma City University and
his Juris
Doctorate from Oklahoma City University School of Law. While
attending law school, Mike worked for the U.S. Attorney's Office,
LEXIS-NEXIS,
and studied First Amendment and European Community Law at Queens
College in Oxford, England.
Prior to law school, Mike received a full and honorable Senatorial
Commission
from the Republican Senatorial Inner Circle, was Senior Vice-President
of
Financial Services for Crescent Jewelers in San Francisco and National
Credit
Marketing Manager for Jewelers Financial Services (Zale Corporation) in
Dallas.
Mike is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma, Washington D.C., and the
federal
courts in the Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Oklahoma.
Mike is also an immediate past Chairman of the Criminal
Law
Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association and is a past Editor for
The
Q&A, The Newsletter of the Criminal Law Section of the
OBA. He is also Director of Publications for the Oklahoma
Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and former Editor for The Gauntlet. Some grants received

received by NSU. He is also an independent evaluator for
the Muskogee Weed and Seed (USDOJ) grant as well as the Oklahoma
District Attorneys Council Domestic Violence grants.
