I am an associate professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Legal Studies. I am about to begin my twelfth year here at NSU. Most of my teaching responsibilities are in the Paralegal Option of our major. My educational background prepared me well for this area. I received my Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice/Paralegal Option from NSU. I then attended the University of Arkansas School of Law where I received my Juris Doctorate. I am licensed to practice law in both Arkansas and Oklahoma.
Here at NSU, I try to have as much interaction with
the students as possible. I am the faculty advisor to students entering
the
Paralegal Option of the Criminal Justice major. I also share the
pre-law
advisement responsibilities with Dr. Justin Halpern. Additionally, I am
the
faculty sponsor of the Northeastern State University Law and Justice
Council.
Finally, I am the coordinator for the criminal justice and legal studies program.
