My life purpose statement
I. The center of my life
The center of my life shall be our Lord and Savior, his son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. I will keep my life properly centered by living a life of worship. I will stay in continual communication with God so that my spiritual food is not cut off. I will not need to worry when something tough comes up, for Christ will be at my center.
II. The character of my life
My life will take on characteristics that are pleasing to God, and I will develop character traits that are pleasing to God. I will become the woman of God that I am supposed to be by cultivating the nine fruits of the spirit in my life and stop living for the moment and for the approval of people. I will stop doing things I know aren’t pleasing to God. I will stay away from situations where I will feel tempted to mess up. I will be content with God’s timing and not try to be something I’m not ready to be.
III. The contribution of my life
I will find where my ministry should be in the body of Christ by looking at my spiritual gifts, weaknesses, heart, abilities, personality, and experiences and by asking God through prayer to guide me. While I am searching for my area of ministry I will help where needed and do what is needed to be done. I will help when asked and when not asked. I will ask God to give me more of a servant’s heart.
IV. The communication of my life
I will show the love that Christ has shown me to unbelievers and those who are living in sin. I will share my testimony and the news about Jesus Christ to unbelievers. I will pray that God will lead me to people who need to hear the Good News. I will share my life experiences with younger believers and non-believers alike. I will share my struggle with homosexuality with others and let them know there is a way out. Furthermore, I will back up what I say. I will do my best to live as a Christian, no matter how hard it gets.
V. The community of my life
I will become a member of a church in my area. I will demonstrate my commitment to other believers and connection to the family of God by attending Church regularly, taking a part in events, praying for my fellow believers, not using unkind words towards or about my fellow believers, and respecting the authority of my BCM leaders, my senior pastor, and my youth pastor. I will associate with my fellow church people in and out of church.
