Do's & Don'ts of Fall Fashion

Fashions fade. Style is eternal.
At NSU each person has their certain style of dressing to go to class. Some people like to go to class in sweats to be comfortable while others like to dress up.
“Dressing up everyday is a hassle that means that I got to wake up extra early to get ready,” said Valerie McKinney, Claremore sophomore.
This fall season is about trench coats with big collars, dark colors like black and sea blue, tunics, leopard print, jackets and blazers. The type of jeans for the season are skinny jeans. Platform shoes are in, as well as ankle boots and chunky stacked heels.
On campus there are all kinds of styles everyday. The days most students dress up are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. These are the days that more students are on campus and classes are held.
“When I dress up I don’t do it for other people I just do it for me,” said Simona Stoica, Romania senior.
It is a hassle to dress up everyday but keeping up with fashion can be fun and if students are interested in fashion they are invited to join the NSU Fashion Association.
“The purpose of this organization is to provide opportunities for educational experience and social interaction through meetings, seminars, special activities and contact with professionals in the fashion field. It will also enable students interested in fashion to share ideas and experience with other students,” said Stall Meadows.
At NSU students keep up with fashion. Sororities and fraternities are usually dressed up and are rocking the latest styles of clothing and shoes.
“I get my ideas either from close girlfriends, fashion magazines and even music videos,”said Autumn Allen, McAlester junior.
Dressing up everyday is not a thing students have to do. It might make them feel more comfortable when they go to class, but it is a fun thing to do to feel good about yourself.
