My name is Ashley Logan and I am a 23 year-old black, female college student who is trying to pave my way to success. I have one sister who is a pharmacist and a brother who is an instructor who teaches heating and air conditioning.

I have great standards to live up to. I take these college years and use them to my advantage. I see these years as a time to find myself and see what I have to offer to the world. As soon as I graduate I will attend UCO to work on my master’s degree in Business Administration. I also will be going to cosmetology school. It is my dream to own my on salon. My fiancé is already a cosmetologist. We will soon own a beauty salon together.

I take life serious because you only have one life to live. I party little and work a lot. Over the course of my life I learned that life is a journey not a destination. So as I reach one goal there are other obstacles to jump over.
I take it one day at a time but always plan for the future. I once heard that if you want to make God laugh tell him your plans. Your plans and God’s plans may not always line up.

I like to stay busy because it makes the semesters go by faster. I have never met a stranger, people are my passion. Whether it is helping them get dressed for special events, doing their hair or maybe something that pertains to my minor, social work, I just love helping people.
