TCM Major
The Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Telecommunications Management provides the technical background
and managerial skills to understand and guide the telecommunications management function in a wide variety of
organizational settings.
Telecommunications management encompasses the technology of analog and digital information, including voice, data,
and video over local- and wide-area communication systems. Telecommunications management also includes:
(1) the way information is used and managed by different organizations; (2) the economics of the telecommunications
industry itself; (3) the economic effects of telecommunications management on other industries; and (4) the impact
that telecommunications regulatory compliance has on the local, national, and international user organizations.

TCM Minor
The use of computers is widespread in every phase of modern business. The TCM minor is designed to provide
business professionals with the background necessary to understand and use computerized systems effectively and
efficiently. Students electing the TCM minor: learn the basics of telecommunications--including global
communication on the Internet; learn how integrated voice, data, and video systems work; understand the workings
and administration of a local-area network; develop a conceptual understanding of telecommunications law and policy;
and develop an understanding of telecommunications systems that underlie all computer networks.
