Everytime we have to think it adds to our cognitive load – it distracts our attention from the intended task.
The most important thing is to eliminate question marks. |
3. If you can’t make a page self-evident, at least make it self-explanatory
- Well choosen name
- Helpful images
- Small amounts of strategic text

4. Why is this so important? Making users NOT think?
- Your site may not have been easy to find and visitors may not know an alternative, so the prospect of starting over doesn’t seem that attractive.
- Making pages self-evident makes the site more effortless and less puzzling which saps our energy, enthusiasm, and time.
