Phi Alpha Honor Society
The purpose of the Phi Alpha Honor Society is to
provide a closer bond among students of social work and promote
humanitarian goals and ideals. Phi Alpha fosters high standards
of education for social workers and invites into membership, those
who have attained excellence in scholarship and achievement in
social work.
NSU became the Delta Eta Chapter of Phi Alpha in May 1993. Chapter
meetings and initiations are held in fall for the Tahlequah campus,
and spring for Broken Arrow.
Requirements:
- Social Work Major
- GPA 3.0 overall
- GPA 3.25 in Social Work courses
- Active member of NASSW (Social Work Club)
Applications are due by October 1, for fall initiations and March
1, for spring initiations.

Rho Theta Sigma
Taking Applications
Rho Theta Sigma, the oldest honor society at Northeastern State
University, is accepting applications from Sept. 15 through Oct.
3, 2003. Rho Theta Sigma is open to all majors who meet the requirements
of a 3.4 GPA for two full-time semesters or a 3.6 GPA for one
full-time semester (minimum of 12 hours). Pass/Fail classes will
not count toward full-time status.
Applications may be obtained at one of the advisor’s offices.

C129, ext. 6536. The initiation is required for a life-time membership
