Dr. Tom Schuman earned his M.P.A and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), and a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Tulsa.  He taught at the University of Tennessee and the University of New Hampshire before coming to Northeastern State University in 2008 and had more than 14 years of added private and public sector experience.  He teaches courses in public administration and American government.  His research has focused on bureaucratic and legislative decision-making; energy and recycling policy; and constitutionalism in New Hampshire.
