Dr. Christine Hallman received her BS in Geography and Geology (1995) and MS in Geography (1997) from Murray State University in Kentucky.  She received her MS in Geosciences (2001) and PhD in Geography (2010) from the University of Arizona.  Between her MS and PhD, she taught geography and geology courses at Pima Community College and the University of Arizona.  Dr. Hallman began her career at NSU in 2010.  She teaches physical geography, landforms, weather and climate, plant and soils geography, global studies, and geography of East Asia.  Dr. Hallman is interested in dendrochronology (tree-rings), climate, phenology (seasonal changes) and biogeography.
