Graduate Admission Requirements

· Have a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or have completed appropriate leveling courses

· Have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above for all undergraduate courses or a 3.5 GPA or above for all SLP courses

· Must submit GRE or Miller Analogies Test scores

· Must complete the SLP program application accompanied by a cover letter expressing reasons for applying to the NSU SLP graduate program

· Must submit three letters of recommendation from those who can attest to applicant’s academic and clinical potential

· Must submit an application to the NSU Graduate College

Application Process

(Application Deadline: February 12)

* Applications may be obtained from the NSU Graduate College or the NSU Special Services building. 

1)     Complete Graduate College Application Form

2)     Complete Speech-Language Pathology Program Application Form

3)     Submit scores for GRE or MAT directly to the Graduate College

4) Attach cover letter stating reasons for applying to the Speech-Language Pathology Program at Northeastern State University

5) Have transcripts from institutions other than NSU mailed directly from the institution to the NSU Graduate College

6) Have individuals serving as references complete recommendation forms, place the form in an envelope, seal the envelope, and sign across the seal — submit signed, sealed recommendations with application materials

7) Submit the following application materials in a large manila envelope:

                          - Cover letter with reasons for applying to NSU SLP Program

                          - Graduate College Application

                          - SLP Program Application

                          - 3 reference forms individually sealed in separate envelopes with the                                      signature of the individual making the recommendations across the seal

8) Have the following sent directly to the NSU Graduate College

                    - GRE or MAT scores

                          - Transcripts from institutions other than NSU (if applicable)
