

Speech-Language Pathology is a career in which professionals evaluate and provide treatment for individuals with communication disorders. Just a few examples of the types of services they provide include assisting clients/patients in the correction of their articulation, fluency, and quality of speech. They also help those who have suffered from strokes or other brain injuries to redevelop the communication skills they have lost. Speech-language pathologists work with clients/patients of all-ages, from infants to the elderly, in a variety of settings. These settings include, but are not limited to hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, private practices and schools. |
