Speech and Debate Colleagues:
The Cameron University Department of Communication and the CU
Speech and Debate Team invite you to participate in the third annual
Cameron University Speech and Debate Tournament. The event will
be
hosted on the Cameron campus in Lawton, Oklahoma December 6-7,
2002. This is a Friday/Saturday tournament.
The tournament seeks to provide outstanding debate and individual events
competition. We will offer all eleven AFA individual events and
multiple
styles of debate. GPFC debate will be offered and will utilize
the Great
Plains Forensic Conference topic. We will also offer NPDA (National
Parliamentary Debate Association) and IPDA (International Public
Debate Association) formats for debate. Should you need information
about any of these formats feel free to contact me at the phone number
or
e-mail address listed below.
This tournament provides a venue for coaches and students to experience
a wide variety of types of competition. Participation from GPFC,
NPDA,
and IPDA programs will hopefully expose programs to multiple styles
of
debate. I hope that you will keep that weekend free or change
your plans
and come spend time with us.
Have a great forensic season and I hope to see you soon.
