James I. Phillips, Ph.D., SPHR

Dr. Phillips is an Associate Professor of Management at Northeastern
State University
. Prior to joining the faculty at NSU in 1994, he
served as a lecturer at Troy State University ('92-94) and as a
Teaching Assistant at New Mexico State University ('90-94). He received
his B.S. in Business Administration ('82) and Masters in Human Resource
Administration ('83) from Utah State University. After working in
Industry for eight years, he completed his Ph.D. in Management from New
Mexico
State University
in 1996. Now, Dr. Phillips conducts research in
various areas (listed below) and teaches a number of management courses
at Northeastern State University. He enjoys teaching strategic
planning, selection and evaluation, compensation management, labor
relations, strategic human resource management, and organizational
behavior. Four years ago, Dr. Phillips organized and trained a team of
strategic planning consultants called Participative Strategies.

conferences for various clients, which are listed below.
