Student Concerns Committee
Greetings! Thank you for visiting the webpage of the Student Concerns Committee (SCC) of the NSGABA.
My name is Chad Hawkins and I am a student in the Psychology program at Northeastern State University in Broken Arrow, OK.
I am excited to announce some of the goals I have for the SCC this year:
1) To represent, not only the concerns of the students but also the ideas and opinions of the students.
2) Establish contact and communication with all the regional SCC reps and build
a strong network
3) Use this network to solicit opinion on what issues SCC should work on in the
future
4) Use this network to also determine what best practices regarding
students at different schools are and to put these up on a website
5) To establish relations with the following parties and to work on issues related to
students locally and nationally and descend information concerning us:
a) Northeastern Student Government Association in Tahlequah (NSGA) and the Oklahoma Student Government Association (OSGA)
b) National Education Association (NEA)
c) Other national and international Education organizations in the USA
So what are your roles? By informing us of you needs and concerns you form an integral part of the network described above that will allow us to assess student concerns and share best practices.
