Sergeant-at-Arms

Shelby Stansell is a founding member of NoTSO. In July 2004, NoTSO was approved to create a Scholarship Selection Committee to disburse scholarship monies funded by the Board of Regents. Shelby was very important in securing approval for the $5000 in funding for those eight scholarships. Shelby was and is our primary contact for scholarship proposals.
Shelby's level-headed input at meetings often helps to keep the discussions balanced and focused. Shelby's maturity and sense of fairness add tremendously to this organization's character and potential.
Duties of the Sergeant-at-Arms
The Sergeant-at-Arms is responsible for assisting the President in maintaining order at meetings, distributing documents and material during meetings and assuring that meetings remain generally flowing and productive.
The Sergeant-at-Arms may sometimes act as delegate to NSGA Student Senate meetings and serve on various committees as needed.
Nominations for NoTSO Sergeant-at-Arms will be accepted in November and elections will be held in December. Make the effort to let your officers know how they are doing and what you would like to see done differently! Or, make the effort to let them know what a great job they're doing! E-mail is acceptable, but it's best to attend a meeting and make your voice heard in person.
