Non-Traditional Student Organization

Public Relations Chair

Jason Ward is a founding member of the Non-Traditional Student Organization. In addition to his duties as Chairman of the Public Relations Committee, Jason also is the Student Senator of NoTSO. As such, he attends the NSGA's Student Senate meetings every Wednesday and reports back to NoTSO the proceedings of those meetings.

Duties of the Public Relations Chair

The Public Relations Chair is the person of central importance as NoTSO works hard to become an active and integral part of the NSU and Tahlequah communities. A new organization cannot reach out into the community if people aren't aware of its existence. The PR Chair continually works to keep our name known in the public. This is often done by announcing upcoming events via flyer or brochure, television advertisements, broadcast e-mails through the NSU e-mail system, The Northeastern student newspaper and other viable means of public outreach. The PR Chair is responsible for maintaining positive relations with individuals, organizations, companies and other entities in the NSU and Tahlequah communities, as well as outside of these communities.

Nominations for NoTSO elected offices will be accepted in November and elections will be held in December. Those elected officers will sit on the Executive Board, along with two Campus Sponsors (faculty or staff); the E-Board will appoint the chairperson for each NoTSO committee.

Input from any NoTSO member is invited concerning the selection of NoTSO committee chairpersons. E-mail is acceptable, but it's best to attend a meeting and make your voice heard in person.
