Welcome to NSU's

Non-Traditional Student Organization

Non-Traditional students deserve
a Voice and a Choice!

In May 2004, twenty NSU students met to create a new organization at NSU called the Non-Traditional Student Organization, a.k.a. "NoTSO".

The members of NoTSO hope to provide a channel through which non-traditional students at NSU can become active and integral members of the NSU and surrounding communities. Our most significant achievement so far is the creation of eight scholarships for non-trads at NSU. These scholarships, which total $5000, are broken down into two categories:

      * Non-Traditional Academic Scholarships

      * Non-Traditional Merit Scholarships

Visit our scholarships page for more information.

As we begin the 2004-2005 academic year, we are excited about the potential that NoTSO has to become a large and active part of the NSU and Tahlequah communities. In addition to our scholarships, NoTSO officers attended NSU's Student Leadership Conference in August 2004 and a NoTSO officer will sit on the senate of Northeastern's Student Government Association.We will be the voice representing your interests to NSU and elsewhere. We do need to hear from you to properly represent your opinions! We hope to see you at our next meeting.

NoTSO meets every Thursday during the academic year in room 223 of the University Center (above the Bookstore). We always enjoy seeing new faces!

We will also be planning social events throughout the year where children and families are welcome. For more information, attend a meeting or e-mail us at nsu_notso@yahoo.com
