Attendance:
- Attendance is computerized and must be completed daily by
9:00 a.m. The
first bell rings at 7:45 a.m. and students are tardy if they are not
seated in their classrooms when the second bell rings at 7:55 a.m. If your child is going to
be absent, please call as soon as possible; you may leave a message at
746-8730.
- Students
may arrive as early as 7 a.m. for working parents if they are enrolled
in the before and after care program. Other students may
arrive no earlier than 7:15 a.m. for breakfast. If children do not
eat breakfast, they may arrive at 7:30 a.m. and sit in the gym to be
supervised until they are dismissed for class.
- The
Tulsa Public Schools auto-dialing system makes calls to
parents/guardians at the home contact number on parents of absent or
tardy children. If you have not called to report your child's
absence prior to the 9 a.m. cut off time, you will be contacted and
receive a message from Tulsa Public Schools. Please do not be
alarmed by this automated service. The auto-dialer will continue
to contact you until a message has been left with you or your answering
system.
Pre-K/Attendance:
- Children enrolled in the Pre-Kindergarten, 4 year class
must be seated a minimum of 2 hours and 30 minutes to be counted
present. Each class is 2 hours and 45 minutes long. The
morning class dismisses at 10:45 a.m. and the afternoon class is from
11:55 until 2:45 p.m. (p.m. students may arrive no earlier than
11:45 a.m. due to supervision) Please note that if your child
arrives 15 minutes late for class, he/she will not be counted in
attendance although he/she did sit in class.
