times: Students who are not eating breakfast at Grimes should NOT arrive at school any earlier than
7:30, unless you are
enrolled in Grimes Before and After Care (746-8732). Arrival time of 7:45 is optimal. Students
not seated in their classroom at 7:55 will be counted as tardy. Departure

Riders – exit front door Car
riders – exit west doors Pick up
for car riders is located at the west end of Grimes. There are specific procedures for
dismissal. Please wait in single file
line, no passing. Students will be
loaded into the cars individually.
There are three red poles indicating the pick-up areas. Thank you for
your continued patience with this procedure.
This procedure is in place to provide the safest possible dismissal
for each of our children. Students not
involved in an after school program and/or enrolled in Grimes Before and
After Care must be picked up by or before 3:00 p.m. We are unable to provide adequate
supervision for children not enrolled in B/A Care after this time. If you are unable to arrive before 3 p.m.,
then please enroll in B/A
Care. In
Emergency situations, students in the building after this time will be asked
to sit in the office and parents will have to come inside and sign these
students out. Please call the office
if an emergency arises and you will be late (746-8720). We do understand that these things happen beyond
your control once in a while. Unfortunately,
if we are not contacted, then there are procedures for students left
unattended which may include having to call outside authorities regarding a
child in need of supervision. Although
this is not something we like to do, it does sometimes become necessary. In order to maintain the safety of the
students, children will not be allowed to be left unattended. Thank you for your assistance and
promptness in this matter. |
