Hi, my name is Josh Maxwell, as you may well know by now, I love design. On this website you'll find my personal design portfolio, as well as a blog on a diverse amount of topics including web, graphic, and multimedia design; as well as refrences to articles, tutorials and other resources for designers. There'll probably be a few personal one's here and there though.
I am 24 years old and this is my final semester at Northeastern State University, where I will be graduating with a Bachelors in Visual Communications: Multimedia/ Web Design. I was recently hired to be the webmaster for Tahlequah Public Schools and I am very excited to begin working there.
If you are interested in finding out more about my work history, you can check out my resume here.
In September 2009, my wife and I were married and we're looking forward to putting down more roots soon! She is who I spend most of my time with when I'm not working. We love movies, but would much rather spend our time out in the sun hiking, kayaking, or picnics.
Also, I can't get enough of web design! In fact, I enjoy it so much I do a little freelancing on the side. So, if you're interested, contact me for your personal or business site today.
Before all of that, I worked at NSU's Public Relations department. Where much of my graphic design portfolio was created.
My parents encouraged me to try new things as a kid. I soon found myself doodling along with public access TV's cartoonist. Which spurred on my love for cartoons, animation and 3D animation.
In high school, I was drawn more and more towards music. As of now, I am a wanna-be Jazz musician with 7 years of saxophone under my belt.
They say hindsight is 20/20. Ironiclly, I see it is true now. My parents had a huge influence on me throughout my life. I owe a great deal of my ability to find enjoyment in all areas of work to them. Whether it be in front of a pad of paper, a computer screen, or behind an instrument or even a lawn mower, I will do that job to the best of my ablility.
They are the reason I see myself as a driven, diligent and hardworking individual.
In college, I volunteered at Campus Chrisian Fellowship (CCF) all of my career. While there, I worked for them creating weekly ads, powerpoint presentations for weekly musical performances, as well as developing an easily updateable website in MSFrontPage, for those with little to no web knowledge.
I also have 5 years experience sound engineering experience, as I setup/ran the sound equipment for the live weekly music and speakers at CCF.
I love God with all my heart, soul, mind and body; and, strive daily to live up to my commitment for His name's sake.
And, on a completely seperate and random note: I am sucker for peanut butter and grape jam sandwiches...
