A Gothic or Blackletter style of Tengwar: sample image
This blackletter style is the same as is used in the background of this page. The stem is essentially unchanged, but the bow is drawn as a straight line and a squiggly curve looking a bit like the letter yogh (Ƞ or ȡ)(rotated 180° for the second two columns). Decorative strokes are added. This method is uniform for the first six rows. In columns 1 and 3, for letters in which the stem does not descend, a decorative serif is added at the bottom if the stem.
This version provides one tengwa for every consonant or set of sonsonants represented within a Cherokee syllable. One unique tehta for every Cherokee vowel is also provided. This version has tengwar selected for a logical progression between tengwar and their assigned phonetic values.
