Developmental mathematics
courses are designed to help students prepare for college level algebra and
beyond. When setting up your schedule,
your advisor will evaluate the following information:
Mathematics*
1. ACT sub-score of 19+ or
2. SAT: M 460+
3. COMPASS PA 66 or A 61+ or CA 50+
4. ACCUPLACER: EA 73+
5. Successful completion of MATH 0123 –
Intermediate Algebra or any college level math course.
If you do not meet one of the
prior criteria for mathematics, you will take a computer examination called
COMPASS. Based off you COMPASS scores,
your advisor will place you in the developmental class that would most suit your
needs.
Connors developmental classes
are taught on the computer using the CourseCompass website.
To access CourseCompass, you
must have a login and password. You may use the same login and password
throughout the entire developmental mathematics program. For example: If you
created a login and password when you were in basic math, you will use the same
information for your Elementary and Intermediate Algebra courses. To create a
log-in and password, you must purchase an access code through the bookstore. If
