Developmental mathematics courses are designed to help students prepare for college level algebra and beyond.  When setting up your schedule, your advisor will evaluate the following information:

Mathematics*

1. ACT sub-score of 19+ or

2. SAT: M 460+

3. COMPASS PA 66 or A 61+ or CA 50+

4. ACCUPLACER: EA 73+

5. Successful completion of MATH 0123 – Intermediate Algebra or any college level math course.

If you do not meet one of the prior criteria for mathematics, you will take a computer examination called COMPASS.  Based off you COMPASS scores, your advisor will place you in the developmental class that would most suit your needs.
