BROKEN ARROW CAMPUS, SUMMER 2008

THE LIVING LITERATURE CENTER

The Living Literature Center at NSU affords students opportunities to study literature in non-traditional settings. For over 15 years the Center has been responsible for involving scholars and artists from around the state in semi-annual conferences which occur towards the end of fall and spring semesters. Recent themes for these conferences have included multiculturalism and science fiction/fantasy. In addition, each summer LLC conducts a literary tour of parts of the United States or Europe. In May 2002 the Center toured Ireland, exploring the drama of the Abbey Theatre and sites associated with the works of John Synge, James Joyce, and W.B. Yeats.

The Rosamund Papers, an online journal, documents the Center's activities and includes short articles dealing with the cultural life of the region.

All LLC activities are offered for undergraduate and graduate English credit. They are open to both NSU students and members of the community.
