Welcome...

Hello, again, and welcome to the latest edition of The TCWBSFY Online. Once again our officers will let you know what has been going on in Tahlequah, at NSU, and most importantly in Alpha Rho. As for myself, I have been busy redesigning our web page and trying to get in contact with some of our alumni members. This has proved to be quite frustrating as many of the addresses I have are no longer good. From the letters that have reached their goal, I have received a great response. Hopefully, we will be able to get our alumni together soon and plan some activities for next fall, including playing at the homecoming football game. So, if you can point me to an alumni, please do. Also take a look at the alumni section of this site from time to time to see who we have managed to locate.

In the Bond...

Welcome to the third edition of our chapter Online_Newsletter. This newsletter is put out once a semester to familiarize our other brothers with this chapter and to update our friends, alumni, and our own members about what is going on with the Alpha Rho Chapter.
This has been a busy year for our chapter, with not only our regular duties as Brothers, but with double duty for our bands here at Northeastern State University. Some of you Brother's that go to a larger school (I would rate this as a medium sized school) will recognize some of this as your everyday collegiate lives, but at this university it is out of the norm. Our football team made the NCAA Division II playoffs for the first time in school history (we became members of the NCAA last year) and advanced to the final four in those playoffs. We sent a pep band to the second round game in Davis, CA, mostly made up of Brothers, and in which I got the honor of serving as director, and to Knoxville, TN. There were no chapters at the schools we visited, but we talked to their bands and let them know about how the Brotherhood works and how it serves the band. I hope one day that I will see chapters at these schools thriving, now that they know about the advantages of the Brotherhood.
I would like to congratulate four of our Brothers that met through ou Brotherhood and have recently married. Congratulations to my Big brother, Craig Stevens and his bride Jamie McCormick Stevens, who wed Feb. 12, and to my Little Brother Bob Mabry and his bride, Liz Butler Mabry, who wed Nov. 13. And finally, hello to my Initiate Brother Jim Holman, who was my Vice-President and one of my best friends of all time. Hang in there and we miss you.
