Feeding Bands

The Alpha Rho chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi worked along side the local Phi Mu Alpha chapter last semester to feed both schools bands at our last football game that season. We fed pizza and sodas to the UCO Bronchos and the NSU Redmen band members as a show of things that we would like to see done in the future. The event took place at Gable field of Tahlequah, OK, which is where the NSU Redmen have their stadium. Our chapter felt that this would be a good way to satisfy some of the NSU band member's complaints that they never had a chance to eat during the games that they played at. We also figured it would be a good tradition to start up for future members of Kappa Kappa Psi and Phi Mu Alpha of NSU to ensure that the two chapters could work together more often for the good of the band.
The event was an overall success and the members of the UCO band were greatly appreciative of our combined hospitality and were very interested in trying to colonize a chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi at UCO. This event has brought the two music oriented fraternities a little closer at the campus of NSU and it has taught us that "unity is the key."

District Displays

This year, the chapter decided to put up a display at the district convention. We thought it was time to let everyone know that we were back. It took a lot of hard work and time, but the display looks great! Diania, Cameron, Jennifer, and Eric did a great job.
The historian was also in charge of putting together a chapter album. To get the chapter more involved in the album, she decided to have each member of the chapter make his or her own page to be dispalayed in the album as well. Another scrapbook project was completed by the Spring Iniate Class to chronicle their activities toward membership. We felt that this would be agreat way everyone can get to know each member of the chapter.

Call to Alumni

All those Alumni of Alpha Rho, we are looking for you. We've managed to track down about six or seven of you so far, but I know there are many more of you around.
We are wanting to get our Alumni more involved over the next few years. With our chapter just getting back on its feet (and being one of the strongest chapters in the state), now is the ideal time for you to get reacquainted with the members. We would like to invite you to come and visit with us at any of the NSU football games, or contact any of our members to set up a time to meet with the chapter.
Please fill out the alumni information form if you haven't already. Some of you have received the form in the mail, for anyone else, you can fill out the form online from the alumni section of the site.
