JNSU was established on March 1st 2004, by Japanese NSU students in Tahlequah.
We are trying to show Japanese traditional and modern culture for American people.
Now almost all members are Japanese.
Our activities are following:
So-ran, Booth(Origami, Calligraphy).
We are constantly practicing So-ran
We have gone Muskogee, Wagoner, Stillwater, Tulsa, and OK city for offers.
Now we have 28 members in our organization.

JNSU's constitution was promulgated in 2004.
The change in the Constitution is permitted by only fiat in JNSU meeting.

JNSU was selected into Hall of Fame on April 28, 2006.
TAHLEQUAH - Northeastern State University welcomed three students and one international group into its prestigious Hall of Fame on April 28. Those selected received the honor by meeting a number of criteria: the inductees must be graduating seniors in good standing with the university and have been recognized for an achievement that has br /ought state, regional, or national recognition to both the student/organization and the University.

Dr. Salmon received his OD and PhD degrees from Indiana University and completed a residency at Northeastern State University (NSU).
He supervises optometry students in clinic and the teaches the optometry research courses.
