PEMM Club

NSU Physical Education Majors and Minors Club

Our mission is to:

  • Promote college, community, and state programs of health, physical education, recreation and dance.
  • Coordinate and integrate the professional interest of members of the  Department of Health and Kinesiology.
  • Create  an active interest in the Health and Kinesiology profession.
  • Foster among students a better understanding of the role of the Health. Human Performance, or Physical Education Specialist.
  • Supply current information in trends of Health, Human Performance, and Physical Education.

PEMM Club members are offered professional growth opportunities through various activities and guest speakers.  Activities such as state and national conferences are attended by members.   PEMM Club hosts various events, including health fairs and Jump Rope for Heart (American Heart Association).

Spring 2009 

For Your Information:

If you attend a PEMM Club event/activity be sure to sign in at the event and get an Event Verification Form if you want extra credit toward a class.  Remember it is your responsibility to get the Event Verification Form to your instructor in which you wish your extra credit points to go.

SIGN UP AND PAY PEMM CLUB DUES BY MID-TERM IF YOU WANT EXTRA CREDIT APPLIED TOWARD A CLASS.  IF YOU WILL NOT NEED EXTRA CREDIT, YOU MAY SIGN UP/ PAY AFTER MID-TERM. 

PEMM Club dues are $5.00 per semester.......Sign up for membership at the first meeting or in JDF 108 or main office.

  • To join OAHPERD pick up a membership application in JDF 001 also see website oahperd.org 
  • To join AAHPERD or register for the convention go to aahperd.org   
  • March 31st – April 4th …….AAAPERD Convention in Tampa, Florida 
  • April 6th……………………Walk-a-thon…….NSU Track at 4:00-8:00 p.m.

PEMM Club members are needed to help work this event.  Please contact Shae Foutch ext. 3909 or show up at the event to help.  (Extra credit will be given for this event)
