I am an office assistant, and I enter information into computers, file papers, type letters, and answer phones. While working at this job, I have become familiar with several spreadsheet programs including Lotus, Quattro pro, and Paradox. I also had to know how to treat people on the phone and in the office because of the high level of contact with other people.

I had many duties at Southwestern. I was on the yard crew in 1993, and I mowed, watered and took care of the grounds overall. In 1997, I was an electrician=s assistant. I helped rewire buildings, install lights, and other electrical work.

Waiter
I did many restaurant jobs as a waiter. I waited tables most of the time, but I also had to wash dishes and clean the dining room. I had to interact well with people because I had many co-workers, and I had to talk to many customers. I needed to know the menu and have an idea of prices. I needed to know how to handle problems with customers and with my fellow employees. I had to be able to think on my feet without getting flustered.

I was also named a Kerr-McGee Scholar Athlete for the state of Oklahoma for my academic and athletic performance in school.
