
Article I - Name
This organization shall be called the NSU Fish & Wildlife Club.
Article II - Purposes
The purposes of this organization will be to promote and enhance an interest in local natural resources with an emphasis on local flora and fauna. We will also strive to encourage proper conservation and the ability to utilize it.
Article III - Membership
Membership in this organization shall be open to anyone interested.
Article IV - Dues
Membership dues will be $10.00 per semester or $15.00 per year.
Article V - Officers
SECTION 1. The officers of this organization
shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary-Treasurer, and a Senate
Representative, who together constitute the Executive Board.
SECTION 2. The President shall be elected from
undergraduates with at least a second semester junior standing. The remaining
officers shall be elected from members who have successfully completed 15
semester hours of college work.
SECTION 3. The officers shall be elected at the
last regular meeting in the spring semester for one year's term and shall
continue in office until their successors andr
elected the following spring semester.
Article VI - Duties of Officers
SECTION 1. The President shall preside at
all meetings of the organization and of the Executive Board. He/She shall
appoint all standing committees. He/She shall call special meetings, and shall
attend to the general welfare of the organization. It shall be his/her duty to
act in accordance with this constitution. He/She shall vote only on matters on
which the membership is equally divided.
SECTION 2. The Vice-President shall, in the
absence of the President, preside and perform the duties of the President, and
at other times shall render assistance to the President. In case of resignation
or non-enrollment in college by the President, the Vice-President shall become
President for the unexpired period of the term. In addition to the above
prescribed duties, the Vice-President shall be responsible for the scheduling
of meetings and meeting places with the appropriate college offices, and shall
serve as chairperson of the Planning Committee.
SECTION 3. The Secretary-Treasurer shall be
responsible for a complete journal of the minutes of this organization, for all
official correspondence, and shall deep a list of all members, committees,
copies of the Constitution, By-Laws, and special rules. In the absence of the
President, and Vice-President, he/she shall preside over the meeting. At the
close of his/her term of office, the Secretary-Treasurer shall be responsible
for transmitting all records to his/her successor. He/She will also be
responsible for collecting, dispersing, and keeping account of the dues and any
other funds of the organization for organizational purposes.
SECTION 4. The Student Senate Representative
shall be responsible for attenting all Student Senate
meetings and keeping this organization in good standing with the Student
Senate. He/She is also responsible for giving timely Senate reports to the
organization.
Article VII - Rules
SECTION 1. The organization shall adopt
Robert's Rules of Order for Procedure.
SECTION 2. Any officer who shows incompetence,
negligence, or misconduct may be relieved of his/her post. Such action may be
accomplished at any advertised meeting by a motion and a passage by a
two-thirds vote of the members present.
SECTION 3. Any vacancies other than that of the
President, which occur among the officers, shall be filled by a majority vote
of members present at a regular meeting.
Article VIII - Amendments
This constitution may be amended at any regular meeting by a motion and a passage by a two-thirds vote of the member’s present, provided an announcement of the proposed amendment has been made at the previous meeting.
Article IX - By-Laws
The members of the organization may pass at a regular meeting any by-laws necessary for the implementation of this constitution by two thirds bate of members present.
Article X - Adoption
This Constitution shall become effective immediately after approval by a two-thirds vote of the members present.


Article I - Meetings
Meetings shall be held on the first and third Thursdays during the normal school calendar. The time and place are to be designated by poster. These meetings will be subject to change by majority vote of the Executive Board in view of other events and conflicts with other scheduled meetings. The business at hand shall be assessed at each meeting and dealt with accordingly.
Article II - Faculty Sponsor
The faculty sponsor shall be designated by the staff of the Division of Natural Sciences in consultation with the Executive Board.
Article III - Assessments
The President shall assess all members, providing this assessment has been previously approved by two-thirds vote of the members present at a regular meeting.
Article IV - Resolutions and Proclamations
Any resolution or proclamations will be directed to the Student Senate or other administrative unit based on two-thirds majority vote.
Article V - Filing of Minutes
The Secretary-Treasurer shall file the minutes with the Office of Student Affairs and the university library within 30 days of the meeting.
Article VI - Disbandment of Organization
In the event that the organization disbands, the remaining funds will be donated to the Oklahoma Nongame Wildlife Fund.
Article VII – Hazing and Harassment
We do not discriminate against race, gender, religion, age and disability. We will not tolerate hazing.
