I have a working knowledge in regards to Dreamweaver, Flash, and After Effects and have had quite a bit of practice with DV camcorders

      As the treasurer, it was my duty to create a yearly projected budget to be presented to NSU Student Government Association and to maintain the organization’s financial records.  I also controlled petty cash for functions, withdrawals, and deposits.  As an officer, I served on committees to organize events, attended and assisted in facilitation of regular meetings, and attended regular lessons.

Scrapbook and Newsletter Committee Chairperson
NSU Honors Program
      As the chairperson, I chose and delegated story assignments for our monthly newsletter and also wrote for and helped assemble the newsletter.  I also took and assembled pictures for the scrapbook.  Furthermore, it was my responsibility to resolve disputes among committee members.

Supply Chain Management Promotion Project
Communications Team
      The purpose of this project was to increase awareness among NSU students of a new major in the Business College – Supply Chain Management.  First, we had to determine what the level of awareness among students was and then work to raise that level.  As a member of the Communications Team, I helped to design and write surveys, which we then distributed, proctored, and re-gathered.  Then I, personally, compiled research statistics based on the completed surveys, generated a written report and PowerPoint presentation based on those findings, and then presented the report and PowerPoint to fellow students, professors, and deans

Help-in-Crisis Commercial Donation
      In April 2009, I approached the local Help-in-Crisis office with a proposal to produce a commercial, which I would donate to the organization.  I then consulted with the client about the message that they would most like to convey.  They decided that they would like a commercial featuring local male celebrities that would create a positive social norm regarding the relationship between men and women.  The organization provided the contact information for the celebrities and developed the idea of the “I know” campaign.  I then met with the celebrities and filmed their contributions.  I proceeded to edit and produce the final works, and then presented the commercials to the organization as a donation.

Research Video
      Currently, I am filming for my research video entitled “What is Graphic Design: Beyond the Definition.”  This video is an attempt to document the average person’s understanding and opinions of the graphic design industry.  Upon completion I will present the video at the Honors Senior Seminar.

Volunteering
      Over the years I have volunteered at the Sterling Retirement House, tutored students in algebra, decorated for the junior and senior proms for a local high school, and decorated for multiple functions for the NSU Social Dance Society.
