Phi Upsilon Omicron

Phi Upsilon Omicron is a national honor society in family and consumer sciences that recognizes and encourages achieved excellence in:

· scholarship

· leadership

· service

Human and Family Sciences students who are in the top 35 percent of their class are invited to membership in Phi Upsilon Omicron.  The Gamma Zeta Charter Class of Phi Upsilon Omicron at NSU was initiated in April of 2001.

HFS Association

The purposes of the HFS Association are: 
               (1) to enable students to exchange ideas and share experiences, and 
               (2) to facilitate students' awareness of current trends in the profession.

Foods, Nutrition, And Dietetics Club

The purposes of the Foods, Nutrition, and Dietetics Club are:

· to provide a healthy well-rounded lifestyle through the study and practice of food service and nutrition

· to provide community service

· to encourage attendance and participation at professional meetings related to foods, nutrition, and dietetics

The FND Club actively works with the Oklahoma Dietetic Association and the American Diabetes Association as part of their community service commitment.
