How did you and your spouse meet? Did he have a unique or romantic way of proposing? Share it. We met my 2nd day on the job at San Elizario High School in August of 1995. In October of 99, I told him my parents were coming in May for a wedding or to help me move home. It was his choice. We got married May 21, 2000.

What is your “life motto” (words that you try to live by)? Things will sometimes get worse before they get better. So hold on tight and ride it out.

What has been your most “embarrassing moment”? At a faculty in-service my first year teaching, we had to find out 3 things about someone in the group. I introduced my neighbor and told what I had learned. When I finished, he stood up in shock and said, “I told you semi-pro boxer, not semi-pro bachelor!” His wife, who was also at the meeting, did not find it funny.

What is one goal you have set for yourself that you haven’t yet reached? Financial security – my goal is to one day walk into an airport, look at outbound flights, pick one, and enjoy a weekend somewhere I’ve never been and not have to worry about the cost of it.
