The trumpet program boasts many fine students who are pursuing degrees in fields such as trumpet performance, jazz studies, music education, and music business.

NSU is also host to the annual NSU Trumpet Festival, which takes place each spring on the Tahlequah campus of Northeastern State University.

Northeastern State University is the nation's second-oldest higher-learning institution west of the Mississippi.  Its scenic campus in historic Tahlequah is located between the metro areas of Tulsa, OK and Fayetteville, AR.
