NSU Service Learning Grant Application Instructions Submission Deadline: October 30 The Northeastern State University Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Committee is inviting full-time faculty to apply for service learning grants. Faculty grant recipients will: 1. Develop course curriculum and instructional strategies to incorporate service learning components, and 2. Participate in Service Learning Seminars during the current academic year. The outcomes of the seminar will be a fully developed syllabus with service learning components that meet course objective(s). The seminar will also include instructional strategies for implementing service learning components. NSU's Service Learning Mission states: "Faculty will engage community service to advance their teaching and scholarship while addressing real community issues. Students will engage in community service to meet some or all of the course objectives. Service learning at NSU will incorporate the three R's: Reflection, Reciprocity, and Research." The deadline for applications is October 30. Service learning grants will be awarded in the amounts of $1,000 in support of course development activities and strategies. Interdisciplinary teams are encouraged to apply.
