Distance Learning Standards | |

NSU is committed to providing high quality, academically rigorous
distance learning courses. To that end the Distance Learning
Committee, a faculty advisory committee has developed and
implemented standards for both videoconferenced and online courses.
The Distance Learning Committee meets periodically throughout the
academic year to review courses submitted by distance learning
faculty for development compensation. These standards are
periodically reviewed to ensure they meet or exceed national, state
and local standards for Best Practices in online teaching.
The current standards are outline in the following evaluations
instruments used by the Distance Learning Committee to evaluate new
distance learning courses:
