Dr. Dilene
Crockett is an Assistant Professor of Management at Northeastern State University.
Prior to
joining the faculty at NSU, Dr. Crockett managed a
corporately-sponsored
internet venture for World Publishing Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dr. Crockett completed her Ph.D. in
Management with concentrations in strategy and information systems from
the University of Texas
in Arlington
(2004). While working for a variety of
media
companies and independent and corporate ventures, Dr. Crockett attended
the University
of Chicago and
received her Masters of
Business Administration with concentrations in international business
and
accounting (1993). She also received a B.S.in Communications with concentrations in
computer
science and communications from the University of Tulsa
in 1986.
Dr. Crockett has conducted a
number of
consulting and applied research projects for companies like Citgo
Petroleum, Southern National Bank, Arlington Chamber of Commerce, University of Tulsa Law School, Oklahoma Center
for the
Status of Women, Oklahoma Poll, Tulsa Zoo, American Marketing
Association and
other non-profit organizations.
Dr. Crockett enjoys teaching
global
business strategy, management skills and entrepreneurship.
Her basic research interests include
corporate and social entrepreneurship, international entrepreneurship,
and time
and timing. Dr. Crockett is married to
Jerry, a Tulsa
business owner, and has a dog named Buddy.
She enjoys music, reading, gardening, exercising and traveling.
