The image shows a nucleosome consisting of 146 nucleotide pairs of DNA wrapped around a histone octamer. The protein structures are approximately 80% complete; some sequences at the N- and C-termini that extend outwards from the particle are not shown.

Examine the path of the DNA double helix around the protein core, noting the handedness of the superhelix, the arrangement of the four histones in the core, and the positions of the four histones relative to the DNA.
