English 1213 Freshman Composition II provides a two-fold emphasis focusing upon the study of form, style, and meaning in short fiction and poetry and upon writing techniques used in critical essays about literature and those used in thesis based research papers. Prerequisite: English 1113.

Cultural Activities Among the Five Civilized Tribes

English 4883 Agencies of culture that were active among the Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw, Chickasaw, and Seminole Indians, from the time of their removal through statehood. Organization and activities of the communities, schools, and churches will be explored.
