Specialist Interview Presentation

SPCH 3803 Interviewing

Interview two professionals who specialize in dyadic communication in appraisals, sales, and/or counseling.  (This list includes retail managers, school administrators, human resource specialists, insurance agents, clergy, doctors, counselors, and others). Choose people who are not family members or close friends.  Use the interviews to discuss their styles of interviewing and the advice they give you, based on their experiences.  Formulate your interview questions by reading the chapters in the book.

In a 5-7 minute speech, educate your audience with the material you gathered from your interviews.  Simply outline three to five key concepts from the interviews.  Do this in an informative (not a persuasive style).  You will be required to submit both an outline and bibliography before your presentation. You may only use the outline during your presentation. Below is the rubric and grading criteria for this presentation.
