Informative Speech Assignment

Your task is to orally present an informative speech on a topic of your choice which is of significance and interest to you and your audience.

On the day of your speech, please hand Amy the following items stapled together in this order:

· grading rubric

· speech outline

· reference page (with at least 5 sources)

· Communication Lab report

You must have all four of these items to speak.  If you are missing one or more of these items, you will be given a late penalty on the day you give your speech (if we have time for you to make up your speech). 

Pointers:

Your time limit is 5-7 minutes.  You will be stopped at 7 minutes if you are not on your conclusion.

Remember to bring an extra copy of the outline for you to use while you’re speaking. 

Pay very careful attention to the rubric while preparing and practicing your speech. For example, please note that visual aids are a large percentage of your grade.
