Professionals in the fields of science, engineering and technology.

|
Career Fair offers companies a unique forum for recruiting American
Indian students and professionals. There are over 2,000 participants
and 200+ exhibit booths each year.

The
30th Annual AISES National Conference will be held in Phoenix,
Arizona on November 1-3, 2007.
The
NSU AISES Chapter took 11 students and a sponsor. Students benefited
from the conference by attending the career fair, where they collected
information from various colleges and companies on scholarships,
internships, and graduate college. Students also had the chance
to attend concurrent sessions where different topics such as interviewing
skills, business etiquette, funding graduate school and getting
into medical school were addressed. |
|
| Every
spring, one chapter from every AISES region hosts the region’s conference.
Regional conferences provide an opportunity for college chapters, area
high schools, and professionals to receive updates on AISES programs and
upcoming events, as well as provide an opportunity for chapters within
the region to communicate, network, and share ideas.
Local and national professionals within a variety of fields provide
workshops, seminars, and discussion groups about a wide variety of topics.
Generally, each Regional Conference host develops a theme or focus area
for the Regional Conference every year (environmental, bridging native
cultures with science, etc.). The location of the Regional Conference
is decided each year during the National Student Caucus, where each
chapter may present their ideas for the conference theme, speakers,
etc.
The 2008 Region IV Conference will be held at the University of
Oklahoma campus in Norman, OK
