2004-2008 EVENTS
10/02/04	Fundraiser Booth	Accounting Students set up a booth in the University Center on 10/2/04 to sell candles for homecoming week. The candles were given to us at cost, which accounting student Karen Dodge’s mother hand makes. The candle sale was a great success.
10/19/04	Institute of Management Accounts’ (IMA) Luncheon	NSU’s Accounting Society President Senior Darren McCaslin, and Broken Arrow accounting students, Robin Henry and Jessica Yarborough attended the IMA Tulsa Chapter’s luncheon on November 19th, 2004 with sponsor Deborah Lee. Keynote speaker, Lynn Flinn of the Oklahoma Business Ethics Commission led the group through case studies that presented ethical dilemmas.
11/11/04 to 11/13/04	5th Annual IMA Conference in San Antonio	Accounting students, Darren McCaslin, Robin Henry, Jessica Yarborough, Darlene Adkins, Melody Lee, and Amy Kirk with sponsor Deborah Lee attended the 5th annual student conference. The conference entailed many seminars in all fields of accounting.
12/2004	Angel Tree	The month of December Accounting Students donated time and money to help a child in need. Students adopted a 12 year old boy and helped make his Christmas morning wonderful.
01/27/05	Student Night at Hogan & Slovacek	NSU Accounting students and faculty were invited to attend student night at Hogan and Slovacek in Tulsa. Hogan & Slovacek is the 6th largest CPA firm in Oklahoma. Faculty Dr. Roger Collier, Dr. Gary Freeman, and Deborah Lee attended the social event. Accounting students, Karen Dodge, Michelle Zink, Darren McCaslin, Jamie Clark, Rebecca Hayward, Charles Goolsby, Jessica Yarborough, Darlene Adkins, Liz Baines, Kelly Glover, and, Jacque Bouler, attended.
