The Norhteastern State Universty Band Programs have several different ensembles to choose from.

Basketball Band: Basketball band is a volunteer group that performs high energy music during all the ladies’ and men’s home basketball games and NCAA tournament appearances. The basketball band rehearses during the marching band rehearsal time after football season is over. Membership is open to any student and additional scholarship money is available for participation.

Concert Band: The concert band is a group of 60–70 musicians who enjoy playing concert literature in a relaxed environment. Membership in the concert band is open to any student at Northeastern State University (auditions are required but only for chair placement within the group). The concert band meets during the spring semester on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 – 4:50 p.m. and performs two to three concerts during the spring semester.

Marching Band: The marching band at Northeastern State University meets three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3:00–5:00 and performs at all home football games. The marching band prepares anywhere from one to three shows each year depending on the schedule and represents the university at various community parades and functions. The opportunity to travel with the pep band is a possibility but not a requirement.

Wind Ensemble: The wind ensemble is a select group of about 45–50 musicians interested in performing original literature for winds and percussion. Students will be selected to perform in the wind ensemble based on an audition at the end of the fall semester. The wind ensemble meets during the spring semester Monday thru Thursday from 3:00–3:50 each day and performs two to three concerts during the semester.
