Degree Requirements

• 34 semester hours
• Min. 3.0 GPA
• Professional digital portfolio
• Capstone Practicum Project
• Admission to Candidacy - For admission to candidacy students must complete the following requirements:
  1. Admission to the degree program;
  2. File a plan of study (degree plan) approved by the advisor and the Dean of the Graduate College;
  3. Complete and file a Statement of Understanding with the Graduate College;
  4. Maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or better in all graduate course work taken prior to candidacy;
  5. Completion of academic requirements for a standard teaching certificate;
  6. Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 16 semester hours prescribed by the student’s plan of study. These requirements must be met within the first 24 hours. Regardless, students must complete 16 semester hours after being admitted to candidacy.
