LIBM 5013 Introduction to Librarianship - 3 hours
LIBM 5023 Advanced Materials for Children - 3 hours
LIBM 5123 Administration for Library Media Centers - 3 hours
LIBM 5313 Advanced Materials for Young Adults - 3 hours
LIBM 5413 Acquisition and Organization of Library Materials - 3 hours
LIBM 5513 Information and Resources and Services - 3 hours
LIBM 5611 Library Media Workshop (Author/Illustrator) - 1 hour

Capstone:
LIBM 5900 Library Media Practicum(5901 if candidate has a masters, 5902 for masters)
LIBM 5921 National Board Certification Preparation in Library Media (may be a special project within 5902)

Enrichment: One three hour course is required from each area.

School Administration
EDUC 5573 Public School Relations - 3 hours

Reading
READ 5113 Emergent and Early Literacy Development - 3 hours
READ 5223 Intermediate/Middle School/High School Reading Instruction - 3 hours

Technology
EDUC 5823 Advanced Educational Technology - 3 hours

Please note: Students who do not have a teaching certificate must also pass the Oklahoma General Education Test and the Oklahoma Professional Teaching Examination. Those seeking certification will need to take the state certification test for school library media specialists.

Professional Portfolio
Successful completion of the Library Media and Information Technology program requires that candidates complete a professional portfolio. The portfolio is designed to showcase everything the candidate has learned throughout the SLM program.
