Come see our beautiful Campus and participate in our first annual Northeastern State University High School Model United Nations (NSU-HSMUN) Conference to be held at the NSU Main Campus in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and sponsored by Northeastern State University and hosted by Government and International Studies Society (GISS). This event will be an all day event in the fall semester of 2009. You are welcome to come and bring as many students as you would like. Our educational objectives are quite simple: To provide our High School participants with an authentic and academically challenging Model United Nations conference to promote a greater comprehension of international affairs through varied and diverse simulations of global diplomacy. Realistic simulations will strengthen the attendees’ understanding of the U.N. System and other international organizations as the legitimate means to achieve peaceful, collective, and beneficial resolution to our world’s many complex and perplexing dilemmas. Our conference organization, procedures, selection of committees and issues facilitate our conference mission and goals as they give conference participants the opportunity to maximize their comprehension of today’s vital international issues and global problems. This will certainly be “Global Education” at its very best!
