Abstract: Agricultural location factors (physical and human systems) are briefly overviewed. Selected agricultural location factors are mapped in a U.S. context. Using maps of various agricultural distributions (from the 1992 Agricultural Atlas of the United States), students are directed through a spatial analysis in which agricultural distributions are related to location factors. Students are then given an additional set of distributions for self-directed analysis. Sample study questions are supplied during this portion of the module.
