Guidelines

• Include an email address for a contact person

  <A HREF="mailto:userid@cherokee.nsuok.edu">Your Name</a>

• Include a last update date
  Last updated month,day,year

Guidelines for all Pages - a Top Ten List

1. Use a title that is descriptive for bookmarks.
   Use NSU in the title for official pages

   NOT

   <title> Alpha Chi </title>

   
   BUT

   <title> NSU Alpha Chi - Chapter Name </title>

   
   

   Avoid adding overused links on your pages - such as Yahoo, Webcrawler, etc.

   You may link to NSU's Internet Page (copy the following code line)

   <a href="www.nsuok.edu/academic/external.html">Internet/WWW Starting Points</a>

   Don't say click here; use a descriptive link instead

   Avoid linking twice on a page to the same information

   Avoid putting a link to a page with no information, only an under construction sign

   Present interesting information and keep it up to date

   Use small graphics whenever possible

   Remember lynx users and users with older browsers

   Test your pages

   Rember to follow the policies and guidelines for NSU Personal pages

Buttons and Logos

You are welcome to use images in NSU's /gifs directory (if you are affiliated with NSU). Try to link to these images instead of copying them to your directory. It takes less space on our server and if the image changes, as our buttons may, your image will change also.

Official NSU logos may only be used on official pages.

  Use Meta tags in the body of your document for easier indexing by search engines
