MIS DEPARTMENT LEVEL

_______ Discuss MIS program (B.B.A) requirements with student. Outline two-year or four-year degree plan for student using MIS student guide, along with NSU catalog. Try to include at least two MIS courses per semester. Also, try to spread business core over all semesters, so the student won’t have an excessive load any semester. Remember, MGMT 4213 cannot be taken until all other business core classes are completed. Also, MIS 4313 cannot be taken until all other MIS core classes have been completed, except for the two MIS electives, which may be taken concurrently with MIS 4313. The CBT business core, in effect, is a second major; therefore, students in our CBT business college do not normally declare a minor. They may choose to add an additional minor or an additional major. However, doing so may extend graduation beyond four years.
